How You Can Help
Hope for Youth relies on the generosity and involvement of volunteers for the continued progress and advancement of its programs. With your help, we strive towards fulfilling our mission of aiding transient and at-risk youth to reach their full potential academically, socially, and spiritually. You can make a difference in these students’ lives by volunteering in the any of our programs:
- College Prep Volunteer: Set up of materials and room for Tuesday night program. Weekly speaker opportunities are available. One-on- one help is also needed to assist students with financial aid, test registration and general application forms.
- Thursday Tutor: Volunteers are needed in the computer lab on Thursdays from 5-9 in order to provide one-on-one tutoring with the students. Volunteers may come for any or all of this four hour window.
- Transportation Assistance: Drivers are needed to transport students from their home to attend Hope for Youth programs.
- Small Group Leaders: Friday Night Live needs volunteers to lead small student group discussions.
- Mentors: As a mentor, volunteers are matched with a student and encouraged to meet at least once a month outside the walls of the program, taking them out for a meal to a baseball game, etc.
